The annual Easter Egg Roll on the south lawn of the White House is set for April 9. This year is the 134th celebration that was started back in 1878 by President Rutherford B. Hayes. Check out the White House website (whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll) for pictures of the event dating back to 1901. Estimated attendance is at 35,000! Should be lots of fun for the kids.

What a tradition this is! It's really nice to have such a positive event at the White House. It's good to make memories for all those generations of kids!

no more tickets for DC's Easter Egg Roll

if you didn't know you need tickets to attend the event. Even then, I couldn't be bothered going through all the security....worse of all is that they won't allow you food or beverages on the grounds. Luckily, they will allow strollers, diaper bags, baby formula, and baby bottles.

It looks like tickets are needed....and were chosen by lottery. So I guess if you didn't get tickets for this year's event, you can plan ahead for next year. Also, if you click on the White House's website, you'll find a cute video of Bo with Easter Bunny ears.
