This year is predicted to have some of the most spectacular sightings of the aurora borealis to be seen in many years. I've read that Denali National Park is a good spot to see the Northern Lights . Where are other places in Alaska to get a good look at this natural phenomena?
Alaska gotta be the best place to watch the Northern Lights. October is a good time to see the lights as the sun will set around 6:30 pm. The Northern Lights can be seen in the early morning hours (1am - 4am). Make sure you head out far from the cities out in the woods to see them properly.
I think viewing Alaska's Northern Lights would definitely be the time to head out to one of the national parks and set up camp under the stars for an up-close view of the surreal light show.
