High rollers are making their way south to Australia. A few casinos have opened, but many of the casinos are in the works for the next few years. A lot of money is being poured into these gaming destinations, with an eye towards attracting the Asian high roller market. Look for new properties coming to Queensland and locations along the the Gold Coast.

I take it Macau (Asia's little Vegas) isn't as popular anymore? Seems like Australians are looking in to siphoning some of that good Chinese money. Still, I do not see whether Australia will succeed as other places like Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines are currently in the process of settling gambling and resort facilities.

Crown Melbourne is the largest and most popular casino in the Southern Hemisphere and has three hotels. If my memory serves me correct chef Gordon Ramsay, opened his first two Australian restaurants; maze and maze Grill at Crown Melbourne.
