Bargain…for almost everything

    if you plan to visit India for the first time, one thing I learned is to bargain everything. Bargaining is a way of life in India and so even as a tourist you’re generally free to try and negotiate a better price. One thing though, stay calm and friendly while bargaining as this is all part of how business gets done here. Anger won’t get you anywhere.

    Great tip! It is also wise to take slow in India and not try to cram too much into one trip. As far as crowds, they are mostly found in the cities (like everywhere else) and you can escape them by heading to a hill station, or places like Ladakh or Trivandrum.

    That's very true...aggression will get you nowhere in India, and quite frankly nowhere in the world. Having been to India 4 times, I can tell you that if you're very much a "tourist-tourist" you won't enjoy your visit there.
