There are really just five beaches in Newport. The best one by far is Second Beach. It has that isolated feeling from the other beaches and offers great views of sail boats, cruise ships and the surrounding area. A very relaxing place to beach it for the day. Down on one side of the beach is the Cliff Walk, a gorgeous two plus mile walk that will take you by a bunch of really pretty New England cottages. From my days back there it will be best to arrive early in the day to get a good place to relax.

There are actually 7 beaches in total but a couple of them are private such as Hazard's Beach and Bailey's Beach. the others are:

    - Easton's Beach: beginning of the world famous Newport Cliff Walk
    - Sachuest Beach: next to Norman Bird Sanctuary
    - Gooseberry Beach: ocated along the famous Ocean Drive, only about a mile from historic Bellevue Avenue and the Newport mansions
