The Natural History Museum is celebrating its home city with a new permanence exhibit (slated to open in July). The exhibit is called Becoming Los Angeles, and it will explore the cultural and natural history of the much-loved Southern California . It's a great time to visit the museum as it's turning 100 this year.

That would probably be permanent exhibit. Anyway, the musuem is one of those underrated Los Angeles gems that you wouldn't think about visiting off hand. It is worth your time, even just to see Thomas the T. Rex.

I know LA has many cool attractions but anyone passing by this gem is really missing out on one of the best natural museums on the west coast. The Mammal rooms are so cool and awe inspiring. this new exhibit sounds great..can't wait til July;)

Thanks Mike! You'll have to post a report when you visit. July will be here lickety-split!
