Now that Cuba is seeing more tourism action, people are starting to experience all the island nation has to offer. What would you say about snorkeling? Cuba is a Caribbean island, after all. What are the best Cuba beaches for snorkeling?

it depends. if you want to do off shore snorkeling i would suggest staying at a resort which offers snorkelling directly off the beach without having to get in a boat such as Breezes Jibacoa 4* or the Chameleon Jibacoa 3* next door, or go to Blau Coste Verde or Playa Pesquero....tons more great cuban resorts there.

Right off the bat I will say Varadero isn't really great for snorkelling even though it's a popular vacation spot. I would try Jibacoa, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Ensenachos Cayo Coco, or Guardalavaca for snorkeling.

Best walk-in off the beach snorkeling is in Santa Cruz del Norte. Other all-inclusive resort areas with great snorkeling would be Santa Lucia (resort reviews under "Camaguey"), and Guardalavaca / Holguin.
