Indiana has nice state parks and one state park that I really recommend is white River State Park. This park is one of the best state parks in the state as it's home to several attractions which include the Indiana State Museum, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, the Indianapolis Zoo, the White River Gardens, the NCAA Hall of Champions, and Victory Field. There are also regular events held there such as Jazz Fest, the Indian Market, and Taste of Indiana.

Turkey Run State Park is a beautiful place to hike and camp or to simply view the park's gorges. You can also do canoeing in Sugar Creek, I definitely recommend a pair of hiking sandals to protect your feet from any rocks or other sharp things in the river.
