Yep, the Maldives is one of those places blessed with great weather and beaches. Saying this, it does rain there though rain isn't heavy or last more than 10 minutes. The Maldives is an fairly expensive destination but it's cheaper if you travel there during the European summer months. For surfing, go from March to October as breaks are best.
The high season for the resorts and hotels are the summer months (December to April). The rainfalls are mostly from July to August and from November to March due to northeast monsoons. The best time to go to the Maldives would be winter because the weather is hot and cool.
