A Fiji vacation in the summer is great but you're likely to get a bit of rain, especially if you plan to stay on the east or south coast.
It is true that the east and south coast may receive more rain, but it is cooler and more humid than the north and west coast, so it is worth noting that. For instance, Nadi is in the west coast and does not get as much rain as Viti Levu.
In my opinion, the best time to Fiji is between April and October because the sun is not directly overhead, so weather is a bit cooler, and less humid.
Actually, Fiji is a great place to visit anytime of the year. But summer is definitely one of the best times that you get to enjoy the all famous Fiji summer. Just be ready though, as this is also peak season.
