If you weren't aware of it, there is a tourist pass called Boleto Turisto which you can buy and allows you access to almost all sites in Cusco and Sacred Valley (excluding the Maras salt flats). In fact, most of the major archeaological sites can only be visited with the boleto. It costs around $40 (130 peruvians) and it is valid for 10 days.

    Peru’s Tourist Ticket

Yep, Boleto Turisto is Peru’s Tourist Ticket. You can buy this for one day but really it is best you experience it over two days or more. In which case, you should buy the boleto general (costs around $45) which allows you to explore many tourists sites over a 10-day period.
