The cable railway stretches over 1.6 miles allowing people to travel between the capital La Paz and El Alto which passes through the Andes mountains at a height of 13,000ft above sea level making the world'd highest cable car.

I'm told Bolivia's cable car isn't really a cable-car but a single-cable detachable gondola and it's also not the highest in the world either. The Merida cable-car in Venezuela is over 15,000 ft high, which is certainly higher than Bolivia's gondola.

This is great news indeed for Bolivia but the thing about Gondola systems is that they are susceptible to weather conditions, though the views from them are amazing! Still, it's a great tourist attraction though I hope the locals will also benefit from it.
