camping in Costa Rica

    Camping is not a big thing in Costa Rica but you can camp at some surf camps and some local hotels by beaches. Even then, there's not really point in camping because lodging in Costa Rica is pretty inexpensive. You can get nice/decent places for 30 bucks in most places. The main thing to remember about camping in Costa Rica is the very hot, humid, and rainy weather. It rains so heavy for hours that your tent will be all a mess.

    yep i conquered here. Hotels are cheap enough but some hotels have areas for stayers to set up camp on their property. They charge a small fee for this but this includes the use of toilet and shower facilities. Not what camping is about but it's worth considering...

    So its much better to stay in hotel, not in camping?
