What great advice! I would add Destin/Fort Walton Beach to the list. The beaches are sugar-soft and quite romantic for a stroll. There's plenty to do along the Gulf Coast and lots of resorts. It would be a good place to go without spending a lot of money. And if you're driving from outside of Florida, these are farther north, so you don't have to go as deep into the peninsula. That saves some money too.

how about spending a night or tow at the 'Tween Waters Inn? It's located on 13 acres between the Gulf of Mexico and Pine Island Sound on Captiva Island. You can take in spectacular sunsets over the Gulf and then feast on fresh seafood at nearby restaurants on Sanibel and Captiva Island.

why not rent a villa in Orlando? You can go bird-watching in your own villa seeing –peacocks and other birds including ibises and blue herons, among others frequent the area. The resort also has a pool where you can take a dip, and of course you can visit Orlando area attractions.
