Vancouver is an ideal choice when looking for Cheap Travel Destinations. Here they offer hostels as cheap as $9 US a night. Also the cost of living in Vancouver is generally very low compared to most metropolitan American cities.

During the day, there are tons of free things to see on foot. You could visit the Victorian buildings in Gastown and the walk along Seawall Promenade, where you will see the breathtaking views of the mountains and the ocean. Another must-see is nearby Whistler Mountain, which is great for skiing, touring the quaint village, or simply taking in the amazing view of the lakes and valleys below.

There is also a lot to do where entertainment is concerned, including stand-up comedy, live jazz, karaoke, salsa dancing, drag shows, pubs, and clubs. The clubs can be really busy but they are all quite close together in Gastown, Yaletown and Granville Street so you wil have plenty of choice.

When eating out, you'll definitely get your money's worth; Vancouver offers a wide variety of excellent international cuisine, including many types of Asian food, at very reasonable prices.

The following link will give information on the type of accomodation available.

Vancouver is such a delightful destination. I love how much there is to do...and there are plenty of places that don't cost a fortune (and plenty that do). It's free to visit Stanley Park, though you'll want to bring along some money if you want to visit the aquarium or take a carriage ride. It is free to see the totem poles, too.
