For travelers with their own private plane, the Jack Edwards Airport is where you will be arriving. The small municipal airport is located in town and provides all the necessary fuel, rental car, or storage facility you need while visiting Gulf Shores. Jack Edwards Airport does not offer services to commercial airlines, at this time. You can choose to arrive at Pensacola Regional Airport about 30 miles and the closest to Gulf Shores, Mobile Regional Airport approximately 50 miles away, or Gulf Port-Biloxi International Airport, 123-miles away via I-10 E.
cheapest way to get to Gulf Shores AL Mobile and Pensacola are the closest cities with Municipal Airports, both about 50 miles away. The Pensacola Regional Airport is definitely the best one to Gulf Shores...you'll find cheaper flights to Mobile Airport but it'll cost you more to drive from mobile by a long shot. If you are coming from a nearby state I'd drive to Gulf Shores since the I-65 is a nice easy stretch of road.
