    Hi All,

Do people think it's possible to have a reasonable visit of Tallinn's Old Town on a day trip from Helsinki? And does anyone know how long the ferry ride is over?

    Thanks for all help!

You could explore most of Tallin in a day, but I'd suggest at least a couple of days if you want to see it all.

By the way, there are different means of transport from Helsinki -- ships, cats, and hydrofoils run by different companies, and seasonal.

It takes 2 hours or less to go across, and you will find hotels more affordable in Tallinn along with the alcohol and night-life.

Done once.. We took over night ferry from Helsinki and morning start explore old town, evening back to ferry and another night back to Helsinki. Actually its much cheaper stay night in ferry than hotel..
