if anyone is planning to visit these Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach you should be aware of their rules, especially concerning dogs. Dewey is more dog friendly than Rehoboth which doesn't allow dogs to run at large at any time either on the beach or boardwalk. Dewey Beach allows dogs but only before 9:30am and after 5:30pm.

Yes, this is true. From May 1 to September 30, dogs are not permitted on any beach area with lifeguards, though you are allowed with your dog on beaches without life-guards. Saying this, you must have your dog on a leash at all times all through the year. Delaware Seashore State Park is a popular dob beach in Rehoboth Beach. It opens at 8 am and close at sunset.

if you're traveling with your dog, why not consider going to other dog beaches in Delaware? Some that come to mind include Cape Henlopen State Park (Lewes), Fenwick Island State Park (Bethany Beach) and Bower's Beach (Magnolia).
