do Americans need a visa go to Israel?

    Can a American citizen go to israel without a visa or travel permit? if it's of any help I have a re-entry permit and a Green Card..

    If you're a U.S. citizen, you do not need to obtain a visa prior to traveling to Israel as long as you are traveling as a tourist and plan on staying in Israel less than 3 months. Otherwise, you will need to get one. Also, even if you have a Green Card, or are a legal resident of the U.S. holding a valid American re-entry permit or a Refugee travel document, you must apply for a visa.

    By the way, no matter what your passport is, anyone traveling to Israel as a tourist must travel with a round-trip ticket, and be sure your passport is valid for at least six months.
