What's your favorite place to ski in West Virginia? Many of the resorts have undergone major upgrades, including Snowshoe Mountain Resort, up in the Alleghenies. They've also upgraded their offerings for West Virginia hotels, Is anyone planning on heading to the mountains this winter?

Wisp is in Garrett County, MD and is probably the closest resort to Morgantown. It's pretty good skiing. Snowshoe, Timberline, and Canaan Valley are all in the same general area and are great places to go - they are a few hours from Morgantown.

    Snowshoe skiing

I second Snowshoe as the best ski location in West Virginia but it's also the most expensive ski destination in the state. Saying this, if you can afford it, it's worth it because there are lots to do and plenty of places to choose from for staying

Family Friendly Skiing in West Virginia

Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort gets another vote from me! There's really no better place to ski in West Virginia if you want to bring the kiddies along....there's a ski school, a tube park, and tons of things for kids to do like swiming, snowmobile tours, etc,
