Guadeloupe may not be the most popular island in the Caribbean but there are lot of cool things you can do there for sure such as snorkeling, visit cafes/beach bars and hiking. Even if you just a relaxing time, the beaches are great. St. Francois/Grande-Terre has the better beaches, but Basse-Terre is the best place for snorkelers and hikers because of the reefs and falls. have you been to Guadeloupe and what did you do there?

Hurricane season is from June till November with august and September being the worse months to be there. Also, when you are on Guadeloupe, it's a good idea to arrange visits to some other islands in the area. You can do this by place on the LIAT, which is the airline that connects almost all islands of the West Indies.

Guadeloupe is not the ideal Caribbean island to go to for experiencing nightlife, though you'll find discos in the larger hotels and places like Gosier, Bas-du-Fort and St. François, Le Moule, and in Gourbeyre, on the Basse-Terre side of the island. Le Cheyenne is the biggest disco there.
