There are water taxis servicing Corozal and San Pedro (via Sarteneja) taking 2 hours back and forth. The water taxi departs from Corozal daily at 7 am, and 3pm daily from San Pedro. Tickets for the water taxi are purchased at the pier before departure and cost around $25 (BZ$50) one way and $45(BZ$90) round-trip ticket.

Corozal Town has an airport with local airliner - Maya Island Air- who provides frequent daily scheduled flights to all areas of Belize (I think to San Pedro is about $100 round-trip). The water taxis are also daily and service not only San Pedro but Ambergris Caye.

Mayan ruins at Lamanai and birds

If you are in San Pedro I would suggest taking a day trip to Lamanai to see the Mayan ruins there and many species of birds. Lamanai is on the mainland but it's a bit of a mission to get there. You get there by boat to the mainland and then drive along a bumpy road, then get on another boat along the New River to the lagoon at Lamanai where the ruins are located.
