One of the most charming parts of a Venice vacation is a ride with on a gondola. The canals that wind through the town seem even more delightful when explored this way. The Gondoliers of Venice know these canals well and they glide the Venice gondolas on rides short and long.

Have you taken a ride on a gondola? Do you have a story to share? Talk below!

Gondola rides are expensive, but they're the the best way to see Venice. Saying this, don't forget water buses (or vaporettos)..they operates much like a ferry and you can see the same sites at a fraction of the price.

That's good advice, Wlavd. Sometimes the gondola rides cost more wen you go under bridges, so the short ferry rides can really save you a lot of money.
