Meet Grand Turk Island, the centerpiece of the Turks & Caicos. It's home to the capital city, Cockburn Town, where you're find hotels, restaurants and government buildings. It was settled by salt miners from Bermuda, so it shares a lot in common with that island. Grand Turk Island also has plenty of beaches and diving spots.
snorkeling in Grand Turk Island I second diving in Grand Turk...the island has got the best snorkeling and diving in the West Indies right up there with Belize and Andros. The beach on the west side of Grand Turk island is particularly a nice spot because it has plenty of reefs and marine life to be seen.
where is Andros? Andros is the largest island of the Bahamas and its barrier reef is the world's third longest after Australia's Great Barrier Reef and the Central American Belize Barrier Reef.
