Planning for a 3-4 days hiking at Dovrefjell in late June. How to get there from Trondheim? Is there any bus or train available? How long will it take? Any guidance on hiking at Dovrefjell? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated... Thanks.

You can go by bus, train or a car to Dovrefjell from Trondheim. The Bus trip will take 3hrs 45 mins, and by train, you can reach with in 2 hrs 30 mins. The easiest way is probably by train. A hiking tour at the most beautiful mountain areas of Norway is very popular and especially hiking at the Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park is the most adventurous one.

You can book a hiking tour online and the tour company will arrange accommodation, luggage transfer, food, trip guide etc., I have booked through Oppdal Safari in last July. They arrange guided safaris and mountain hikes all year-round with great guides. Visit hiking page too for more details and explore the beauty and wonders of Norway.
