    Hello ,

My partner and I have just booked a holiday to the Maldives for 2 weeks in august, I know its a long way off, but we are planning everything now so we have lots of time to buy everything and make sure we have everything we need. I have a few questions:

    1. What is the best currency for Maldives?
    2. how much should we be tipping?
    3. Do we need jabs and tablets for the maldives?
    4. Any other tips about things to take that we might not have thought of?

I think thats it for now
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for reading

Oh your so lucky! The Maldives are absoulute paradise... I will try and answer some of your questions.

US dollars are the best currency in the Maldives, although if you're going the all inclusive route you won't need much currency. Do take travellers cheques to pay for trips and tours, as you will find it difficult to locate any ATM's!

Regarding tipping, you won't need tipping in some resorts in Maldives. In fact, some resorts do not allow you to tip, though the staff will appriecate anything so, do feel free to tip as much as you want.
