If you're looking to go to Europe for less, book yourself with an European low-cost carrier like Ryanair or the Norwegian Air Shuttle. I was able to fly from L.A. to Copenhagen round trip for a little over $600. The best fare I found on a U.S. carrier was $1,144 on United and $1,112 on American so you can see the huge savings!

the merger of American Airlines and US Airways will make flying with US carriers even more expensive. I know low cost airlines may not be that great but if i can save $200-300 why not.

Use Icelandair for cheap flights to Europe. This service is with a stopover but if you want to fly to Europe cheap you better forget direct flights. Definitely avoid landing in London or Paris' main airports.
