    helo, what's the curency in India and do you think is best to carry cash? is there ATMs in India?

    hi there,

    The Indian currency is called the rupee(Rs), $10 is around 500Rs. There ATM's in most towns and cities in India but do carry cash or travellers cheques as backup.

    The most commonly accepted cards in India are Visa, MasterCard, Cirrus, Maestro and Plus. Also, if you want to reduce exchange charges, make larger transactions less often.
