No many people thing about Indiana being a Great Lakes state, but it does have some very nice Lake Michigan shoreline. In Michigan City, there's a nice lighthouse and a nice lighthouse museum. Besides Michigan City, you'll have to head up to Michigan to see more. It's not a far drive.

Indiana Dunes lakeshore is a gem

I hear you wanderer! Indiana Dunes lakeshore is so underrated, which is a pity because the Dunes are amazing! You can get amazing views of Lake Michigan's miles of pristine sand and crystal blue waters from Mt Baldy, though i must say that the sand trail to the summit was tough but well worth it!

    Indiana breakwater lighthouses

Indiana has a short coastline with a light station near the east end at Michigan City. I believe it's "Indiana's only lighthouse." However, Indiana also has a number of cool breakwater lighthouses such as the Buffington breakwater lighthouse and the Indiana East breakwater lighthouse.
