A must see destination for travelers who enjoy the outdoors, wildlife, and hiking trails. The ecological park is a 1500-acre private reserve with a network of interpretive and scenic trails. There's plenty of sightseeing opportunities, exhibits, petting zoo and garden dedicated to fruit trees. Take the self-guided tour and take your time perusing the many activities at this Punta Cana gem.
the only eco reserve in Punta Cana If you're looking for fun things to do besides the beach, I too recommend this park as a way to spend a few hours surrounded by nature. Mind you though, you can also swim there at one of the 3 freshwater holes. The water is crystal clear and very refreshing.
There isn't much wildlife to be seen in Dominican Republic but you can do plenty of fun activities like zipline tours in Puero Plata, or exploring the caves of nearby El Choco National Park.
Thanks for the information about the park. I was reading about it and thought it would be a nice respite away from the hubbub and crowds at the DR resorts for relaxing. I had no idea about the swimming holes. That just adds to the allure of the park.
