Quilt lovers and sewers: Did you know that one of the world's finest collections of quilts in in Nebraska? They're on display at the very nice, very modern museum on the campus of the University of Nebraska.

The new exhibit, "Yvonne Wells: Folk Artist, Quilter, Storyteller" focuses on a folk artist from Alabama. She will visit the museum on Nov. 12 and will tell the stories behind her work. The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 26, 2012.

    Quilt Study Center in Lincoln

I went to Lincoln to visit the Quilt Study Center with my grandma, and it was worth the trip just to see the beautiful quilts. The museum is housed in a beautiful newl building -- airy and spacious and well worth looking at on its own merits...the exhibition by Yvonne Wells sounds interesting, I'll see if you I can get my grandma to come with me and check out this exhibit.
