As it's getting colder, you don't have to leave your swimsuits at home. All you need to do is visit one of the indoor waterparks.

There aren't a ton, but what Iowa lacks in number it makes up for in charm.

In Dubuque, the Grand Harbor Indoor Water Park & Resort is located right by the Mississippi River. It offers a host of packages and family-friendly fun.

Your other choice is the Wasserbahn® Waterpark Resort near the Amana Colonies. You don't need to stay overnight to enjoy this fun!

There's also the Bridges Bay Resort in Arnolds Park, not far from Lake Okoboji. The hotel has a selection of condos and standard hotel rooms, and the waterpark has slides, a lazy river, and plenty of fun for all ages.

    best Iowa indoor water park

The Lost Island is my top pick water park in Iowa. We go there pretty much every month during the winter months since the kids (and myself of course) love the water. The price is about $24 for adults which I think is reasonable when compared to larger parks in Florida.
