The Blue and John Crow Mountains in northeastern Jamaica have been designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site, which makes it a first for the country. These mountains are huge covering more than 200,000 acres and boasts tons of trails. To reach the Blue Mountain peak (~7,000 feet), it requires a 7-mile hike.

I wonder what the requirement is for a "site" to become a Unesco Site. Seems to me is done by someone just deciding one day what becomes a Unesco Site. If it was down to me, everything on this planet would be a Unesco Site since it's here.
