The Historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, which was closed for over 40 years has been beautifully restored and it is set to reopen on 23 January 2015. The restoration cost nearly $100 million and took two years to complete. The 2015 programme will kick off with a grand opening concert on 3 February by Diana Ross. There also plenty of Brooklyn hotels to choose from.

    Kings Theatre free tours

who would have known that Barbra Streisand, Henry Winkler and Sylvester Stallone worked as ushers at this theater. I heard the grand opening concert with Diana Ross sold out. Glad to hear that the theater will open its doors tomorrow for free tours.

I remember this theater closing in the 70's...mind-blogging why they would close it in the first place and allow it to get in such a bad state of repair. If the theater would've been taken care of, there would have been no need to spend close to $100 to renovate it.
