korean goverment offers $400 cash reward

    what do you guys think about the latest move by the Korean govt? they are offering rewards to tourists who report dodgy taxi drivers. As much as $400 (500,000 won)..Man, if our government in america did that, tourists coming here would be rich (lol)

    I'm not sure that's too bad of a idea...I guess it depends on what kind of dodgy. If they're the kind of dodgy who is over charging and going out of the way, that could be good. Tourists don't need to be taken advantage of. If it's scary, criminal type of dodgy, I would say that could lead to trouble.

    I never noticed or heard issues about taxi scammers in Korea and have been going there for the last few years..didn't realize it was even that serious for the government to implement this. Oh well, i too hope other countries follow suit taxi scamming is a global issue.
