It looks like peak color is here now, especially in Central Maine, places like Farmington, Bethel, and the downeastern coast. The Maine Department of Conservation has suggested some leaf-friendly driving routes: Route 26 (the Grafton Notch Scenic Byway), Acadia Byway on Mount Desert Island (home to Acadia National Park), and the Route 4/17 Rangeley Lakes National Scenic Byway. Check out www.MaineFoliage.com for the latest updates.
maine fall foliage yep, it should be a beautiful fall in Maine and above-average foliage season expected which is just awesome! I also suggest heading to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay as it will be featuring a natural wooden bridge in the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses this weekend.
The season is past its peak...but there are some amazing pictures from this successful year. I clicked the link and went to the Maine Foliage facebook page here and found some amazing pics! Fall is so lovely.
