Hawaii is so pretty on the First of May. The flowers are perfect then!

From what I think, the biggest celebrations for Lei Day take places on Oahu, which makes sense because that's the capital. In addition to the events you listed in Honolulu, there's a lot of heritage events happening at Queen Kapiolani Park, which is located in Waikiki. It's a free place to visit, so you'll won't have to pay to see demonstrations of lei making, hula dancing, and championship leis. Plus, this year's Lei Queen will be crowned. You know she'll have a lovely lei of flowers to wear.
