Deadwood has a lot going on for vacationers from miles of hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails to historic tours and exciting casinos. On February 28-March 1, this wild west city sparkles with beads, beads and more beads as Mardi Gras is in town. There's a masquerade party, costume contest, Mardi Gras parade, live music, and free food tasting at the Cajun cook off. Sounds like a real good time!

I attended Deadwood's mardi gras back in 2011 and I still remember it well. I had an awesome time taking part in the cake decorating contest. The parade was also great with all those beads thrown, the dancing and the beautiful floats.
