Named as "one of the 10 best historic homes in the world" by National Geographic, the Mark Twain House and Museum is a must see when visiting Hartford . Take the tour, check out the unique architecture, visit the museum shop for a souvenir. It's a beautiful part of history and worth a visit to see where the famous author called home.

I was there not long ago and the house is beautiful. They really have done an amazing job remodeling the home to look like it did when Mark Twain lived there. They charge $18 for the tour of the home but they don't allow any pictures inside the home, which was a pity.
