any ideas anyone?
Its a long drive from Moab to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It takes 5 and half hours and there aren't a lot of gas stations along the way so keep the tank full.
The Bright Angel is one of the cheapest hotels in the Grand Canyon Village and is situated right on the Rim with fantastic views so I would recommend that.
Hope this Helps
To drive from Moab to Grand Canyon South Rim it takes about 6 hours straight driving time. South from Moab on Hwy #191 through southern Utah. A short distance south of the Arizona border, Hwy #191 joins Hwy. #160 which you will turn right - west - and travel across the Navajo Reservation through Kayenta and Tuba City, AZ. A short distance west of Tuba City, Hwy #160 joins Hwy #89 - you turn left - South - and travel to Cameron, AZ. Here you turn right - west - onto Hwy #64 which will take you right into the Grand Canyon National Park, south rim. Hope this helps.
