If you ever plan to explore New Hampshire, the southwestern part of the state is one of the nicest parts. It boasts rolling hills with small New England towns and farms. Hiking and driving are a great things to do in Monadnock region. I myself took a scenic drive through to see the covered bridges, which can be found in the Town of Swanzey.

    Monadnock region Mount Monadnock

Mount Monadnock if you love climbing or looking for an easy-moderate climb in the area. I have climbed the mountain about 6 times and I say late Sept or early October is the best time to do it because the foliage is beautiful..oh, do bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks, etc..be ready!

    cycling Monadnock

you should also try hiring some bikes and going for a ride. There are some wonderful and scenic rides on paved roads with wide shoulders ideal for cycling and plenty of up-and-down terrain for hill climbing like the Ashuelot Rail-Trail which runs from Hinsdale north to Keene.
