Wondering where is the prettiest part of Iowa? For me I would have to say that it's Northeast Iowa. There, you have places like Dubuque city which has lovely bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, as well as Maquoketa Caves State Park (south of Dubuque) which offer many opportunities for scenic drives.

Have you been to Iowa? what's the most beautiful part of the state in your opinion?

I second Northeast Iowa...it's a photographers paradise, especially valley spots along the mississippi and Highway 52, which offer the best photo opportunities in the region. You can see over to Galena and even Savanna in some spots along these places. Even the area around Decorah and north of Maquoketa in Jackson County are also very beautiful.

True that the most scenic part of Iowa is the northeast corner. One of my personal favorite places in the state is Eagle Point park on the north side of Clinton, which is a super spot for viewing eagles. You can find more good photo opportunities on the Iowa side across the river from Pallisades state park in IL.
