Fiji is my all-time vacation spot in the world and must in anybody's bucket list. A few must do's i suggest are:

    1. drinking the famous local Kava for the numbing sensation of your life.
    2. See the Garden of the Sleeping Giant
    3. Go for a diving trip..diving is the best in Fiji with visibility depths of up to 40 meters
    4. Go white water rating on the Upper Navua River
    5. Visit the Fiji Museum to see cool Indian art exhibits and HMS Bounty relics

day trip to the Mamanucas islands

I couldn't agree more! My highlight in Fiji was snorkeling off the coast of Nadi, in the Mamanucas islands. When visiting Nadi, you must book a day trip to these islands even if you dont want to snorkel. The wildlife is superb and the beaches there are amazing;)

A four wheel drive safari is also a must. You can hire a 4x4 or book a tour, though I'd suggest renting a 4x4 and hitting the beautiful Sabeto Valley. The drive along the valley takes you through winding roads right to the famous Navilawa Village, which is right inside the Koroyanitu National Park.
