Foodies are flocking to Homer for a special cooking school and tour. It's at the Tutka Bay Lodge. The new package is led by chefs Mandy and Kiersten Dixon (mom and daughter), who lead the tour on a trip focused on Alaskan cuisine. The tour participants will search for wild edibles, visit Kachemak Bay Oyster Farm, and take cooking classes aboard an old crabbing boat that has been redesigned for all things culinary. The package includes lodging and other amenities. The lodge is located across Kachemak Bay from Homer, a quick boat ride across the fjord.
Thanks for sharing your experience. That's awesome. I think that food really helps seal your experience of a place.
