Highland Park's newly restored Rosewood Beach is opening on June 6, and the good news is that it'll be open to both residents and non-residents, though nonresidents have to pay a $20 parking fee to use the upper or remote lots, which quite frankly is a bit of a stinker.
I wonder what it looks like now. When I was there in 2011 I remember it being a gorgeous drop of nature with a wide beach and water play area for young kids. Definitely don't part there without a Highland Park sticker or you'll get a ticket $$$.
To be honest, the $20 to park for outside residents sounds more like a fee itself so saying the beach is open for non-residents it isn't really. I wonder why charge $20...is it to recoup money from this expensive project?
