    Hi guys,

we intend to travel to Sweden this winter and we're considering the city of Gothenburg. Is the nightlife there good and what places do you recommend? thanks

    hi there,

The city of Gothenburg is home to the popular Avenyn avenue where you can enjoy an interesting nightlife.

What makes Avenyn so popular in winter, is the fact that there are heated pipes running below the street. The heated pipes are meant to warm the street and melt away snow and ice more quickly, making pedestrian travel on the street much more enjoyable.

Nightlife in Sweden in the winter on the Avenyn revolves around some of the best dance clubs in all of Scandinavia, as well as some great pubs and restaurants. There are also a number of coffee shops where some of the best coffee is served. Not too far away, you can also enjoy a trip down the Padden in a boat or an afternoon spent at the Liseberg amusement park.

    Hope this helps

Sweden is like most of Europe..it's a party-like culture (in a good way), though not as crazy as Ibiza or the UK. I know Stockholm has a great nightlife and it's a pretty chilled place to be in the summer. There are lots of clubs, outdoor concerts and bar areas.
