People are always telling me "oh, you've got to visit Annapolis!" So I am finally making the trip this summer for 10 days.

Can any experienced Annapolis travelers share some tips on what to do and where to eat?

I'd suggest staying at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis as they have an offer at the moment for $89 per night, which is not bad!

As for places to eat, it depends. If you like the seafood, places like Mikes in Riva is about 5 miles from Loews Hotel (Riva Road & the South River). Mikes is nothing fancy, just seafood in a basic crab place but it's far enough away from the tourist crowd, which is nice!

Anyway, you must visit the downtown are, especially the old part of Annapolis. This part of town is where the bars and restaurants and stores are located, and you can pick up a water taxi or tour boat here, or just look out at the Bay.

    Have fun.
