Oman, the Jewel of the Middle East is very well known for its incredible beaches. I have spend most of the time at beaches and the most popular beaches are Marjan Beach, Qurum Beach, Aviation beach, Bandar Jissah and Mughsayl Beach. All are ideal for families and having plenty of coffee shops & restaurants in a quiet atmosphere. My favourote beach is the Aviation, it's called as Shell Beach since starfish & shells are scattered along the shoreline and it looks very beautiful. Bait Al Zubair Museum, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Royal Opera House, Jebel Shams mountain, Bahla Fort and Wahiba Sands are some of the key attractions of Oman. If you're looking for accommodation, then visit Oman Hotels page. Hope this helps and have a nice time.
Muscat, the capital of Oman is famous for shopping, dining and the biggest thrills. It offers a fabulous collection of traditional Arabian products ranging from bags, sandalwood soaps, boxes of dates & souvenirs to silver khanjars & frankincense. The highlight of my Oman vacation is the visit of Nizwa. It's is located about 1.5 hours drive from Muscat and has beautiful historical buildings and many wonderful attractions. The scenery along the road from Muscat to Nizwa is stunning and definitely worth a trip.
The Indus Fine Dining, D'Arcy's Kitchen, Kargeen Restaurant, Turkish House and the Blue Marlin Restaurant are some of the best restaurants in Oman to have lunch. I had lunch twice at the Kargeen Restaurant, and it was fresh & delicious. You can try lunch here. Shiraz, Begum's dinner, Turkish Diwan Restaurant and Baalbek are some of the nice places to have your dinner. Many of the restaurants serve a wide variety of delicious middle eastern dishes with great atmosphere.
