There's a ton to do in Canada's capital city, which is in eastern Ontario, just over the border from Quebec. In the springtime, the city is full of tulips, a gift from the Dutch royal family for Canada's help during World War II. Any time of year, there are a ton of museums and galleries to visit. The agriculture museum is one of my favorites with its live animals there! You also can visit Parliament, shop the Byward Market and skate on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa.

I've never done the tour inside but the building looks stunning from the outside. The area becomes even more alive leading up to Canada Day. If you go then, get there early in the morning to book your tours, there is a lot to see outside on the hill and nearby.
