Getting to Patagonia Park involves a flight from Santiago to Balmaceda, followed by an 8-hour car or bus ride. Once there you can camp out at the park, or stay an in eco-lodge in the Chacabuco Valley and other wilderness areas of Patagonia Park.

If you want to do an overnight hike, the Aviles Valley trail is the only trail in the park where backpackers can continue past the end of the Aviles Trail and connect to trails in the Jeinimeni Mountains. If you're going to camp, they only allow you in established campgrounds along the trail, but you'll have to check in at the park office before heading your way.
